Preventive Metabolic Health Care in Arvada, CO — By Telehealth
Medically reviewed by Maggie Smith, MSN, FNP-C
Many serious metabolic conditions start as small lab changes: a fasting glucose creeping up, a rising LDL, a thyroid value drifting out of range. Caught early, they're often easier to address. The barrier is usually logistics, not motivation: booking a visit, taking time off, and driving across Arvada or into Denver. Telehealth removes most of that friction, and it's worth being clear about what this kind of care covers and what it doesn't.
What preventive metabolic care covers
- Metabolic health evaluation: a review of your history, medications, weight trends, and family risk factors with a board-certified family nurse practitioner
- Metabolic risk labs: metabolic panels, lipid profiles, A1c, thyroid function, and vitamin levels, ordered electronically and drawn at a local lab
- Interpretation and a plan: your nurse practitioner reviews the results with you and sets out what to address, what to monitor, and when to recheck
- Follow-up: repeat labs and visits to track how your numbers respond over time
What it doesn't cover
DalaHealth isn't a primary care practice. Annual physicals, age-based cancer screenings such as mammograms and colonoscopies, immunizations, and urgent or emergency care stay with your primary care provider. If something in your history or labs needs care outside metabolic health, your nurse practitioner will refer you to your primary care provider or an appropriate specialist, and we can share records so your care stays coordinated.
How it works for Arvada patients
You book a visit, complete an intake covering your history and current concerns, and meet with your nurse practitioner by video. If labs are indicated, they're ordered through a local lab (Arvada has several draw sites within a short drive), and your nurse practitioner reviews the results with you at a follow-up visit.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get my labs drawn without leaving Arvada? Yes. Your nurse practitioner orders labs electronically, and you complete the draw at a local lab facility. There's no need to travel to a clinic for that step.
Does DalaHealth replace my primary care provider? No. DalaHealth focuses on metabolic health and weight management, and is designed to complement your primary care provider, not replace them. Annual physicals, age-based cancer screenings, immunizations, and urgent care stay with your primary care provider, and we can share records with them to keep your care coordinated.
What if my labs show something outside metabolic health? Your nurse practitioner will review the result with you and refer you to your primary care provider or an appropriate specialist for follow-up.
