How it works

Three steps, no maze.

1

A full medical intake

A visit with Maggie covering your medical history, current medications, and goals. In person or by telehealth, you choose.

2

Labs and a treatment plan

She orders the labs you need, goes through the results with you, and writes your treatment plan: nutrition, and medication when it's appropriate.

3

Follow-up visits

Regular follow-ups to monitor your response, review new labs, and adjust treatment month by month. Message her between visits through the patient portal.

Questions

Asked plainly, answered plainly.

One clear monthly membership. We don't bill insurance for it, so there are no copays or surprise bills, and you can still use your own insurance for labs, imaging, and prescriptions. Medication is priced openly and shown before anything is ordered.

No. Medication is one treatment option, prescribed only when your evaluation and labs support it. Many patients reach their goals with nutrition changes and regular follow-up alone. The decision is made with you.

Your health and financial peace of mind come first. If you choose to use insurance, we will explore every route to secure coverage for FDA-approved brand-name medications. However, using insurance is entirely optional—you can choose to bypass it altogether.

If insurance denies coverage or you prefer not to use it, we will first help you apply manufacturer savings cards and pharmacy discount programs to keep out-of-pocket costs manageable. If those options are still unavailable or cost-prohibitive, we will talk through other options with you to ensure your treatment plan remains accessible and effective.

Adults who want medical care for weight, nutrition, or general wellness from a nurse practitioner who has time for them. Every patient starts with a medical evaluation of their history, labs, and current medications, and the treatment plan is built from that.

Yes. Visits happen by secure video or in person at several locations around the Denver metro area, whichever suits you, and you can switch between the two from one appointment to the next. Choose the visit type when you book, or call us and we'll find the nearest option.

Most patients have their first visit with Maggie within a week. After that, portal messages are answered in hours.

Why the horse?

In Sweden, the dalahäst is a symbol of steadiness, care, and craftsmanship.

For generations, these hand-carved wooden horses have represented the value of doing things thoughtfully, and doing them well.

That's the idea behind DalaHealth. We believe good health care should feel steady, personal, and intentional. No rushed visits. No one-size-fits-all plans. Just thoughtful care, clear next steps, and follow-through you can count on.

Dala is named for the horse. We're inspired by what it stands for.
